Logan Helps Women's Bowling to Fifth at AHIBC #2; SHU Places Eleventh in AHIBC #1

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Tiffany Logan finished in second place as the Siena Heights women's bowling took fifth place in the Second American Bowling Conference Tournament, on Sunday. The Saints finished 11th on Saturday in the First AHIBC Tournament.

The Siena Heights women's bowling team placed 11th and fifth place, respectively, out of 20 teams in the first two American Heartland Conference Tournaments of the season at Palace Bowl, on Saturday and Sunday. 

SHU, as team had a tournament total of 6,290 to take 11th. Wright State won the event with a tournament total of 6,830.

During the second day, SHU finished with a tournament total of 6,315 to earn fifth. Winning the tournament with a total of 6,657 was once again, Wright State.

The Saints had a day one high score in game two with a four-person team score of 902.

Siena Heighgts got off to a hot start on day two as they finished game one with the highest team score of 970, which was the second highest score in a game at the tournament.

SHU recorded a three-game baker set with a high 698 pin fall coming in the second baker game during the first tournament. While on the second day, Siena Heights recorded a four-game baker set with a high 713 pin fall coming in the fourth and final baker game.

Tanishia Townsend was the top-SHU finisher on Saturday with a five-game total of 715, averaging 178.75 with a tournament-high 210 in game three. Close behind was with a total of 655 and average of 163.75 was Tryna Gladstone. Winning the AHIBC #1 tournament with a total of 1,064 and average of 212.8 was Courtney Thompson from Notre Dame (Ohio).

On Sunday, Tiffany Logan finished in second place with a four game total of 799 and average of 199.75, including a tournament-high of 240 in game one. Followed by Townsend and Gladstone finishing in 23rd and 26th place, respectively. Winning the AHIBC #2 tournament with an 800 total and average of 200 was Taylor Davis from Marian (Ind).

Siena Heights will be back in action when they compete at the Lenawee Recreation Center for the Adrian College Open Tournament on Saturday.
