Thirteenth Place Sectional Finish for Women's Bowling

STRATFORD, N.J. – The Siena Heights women's bowling team finished the 2015-16 season with a 13th place finish at the Intercollegiate Team Championships at 30 Strikes Bowling Center in Stratford, N.J on Saturday.

The 13th place finish for the Saints in the 15-team field marked an all-time best finish in program history. The previous best sectionals finish came during the 2013-14 campaign, where the Saints finished 14th in Addison, Ill.

The top four schools in each of the four sectionals across the nation advanced to the Intercollegiate Team Championships in Wichita, Kan., April 20-23, where they will have a chance to compete for the Kerm Helmer Cup, college bowling's national championship trophy.

Following a total of 64 baker games, the Saints recorded a total pin-fall of 10,743 (167.86 average), 1,419 pins behind fourth place Emmanuel College (Mass.) with a total pin-fall of 12,162 (190.02 average).

Also advancing to the Intercollegiate Team Championships with Emmanuel was third place Delaware State with 12,286 (191.97), second place Webber International (Fla.) with 12,451 (194.55), and sectional champion McKendree (Ill.) with 12,463 (194.73).
