Five Saints Finish in Top Ten as Women’s Bowling Places Second at Halo Invitational

TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's bowling team placed second in a five-team field at the inaugural Halo Invitational hosted by the Saints at Ten-Pin Alley.

After two four-game baker sets of 666 and 596, the Saints tossed six team-games of 835, 825, 865, 971, 916 and 919 for a total score of 6,593 -- 236-pins shy of first-place Adrian and 287 pins above third-place Cornerstone. Rochester finished fourth with a score of 6,223 and Toledo finished fifth with a score of 6,068.

Tiffany Logan led the way for the Saints, tossing 217 and 213 games en route to a six-game series of 1,137 (189.5 average). That was good enough for second-place individually in the 41-bowler field.

Amanda Barry finished fifth for the Saints, throwing games of 203 and 201 on her way to a six-game series of 1,075 (179.17 average).

Courtney Herron bowled a 1,061 (176.83), Laura Robinson bowled a 1,051 (175.17) and Tanishia Townsend bowled a 1,047 (174.5) to give the Saints the final three spots in the individual Top 10.

Brittney Antonelli of Adrian was top finisher in the tournament, compiling six-game series of 1,210 (201.67).

The Saints will be back at it next weekend with two American-Heartland Conference tournaments at Super Bowl in Canton, Mich.
