All-WHAC Women's Hoops Honors: Hinton First Team; DeLong; Won Second Team, All-Defensive; Vice All-Freshman

Siena Heights women's basketball player Kayla Hinton was named to the All-WHAC First Team while Olivia DeLong and E'Anna Won were named to the Second Team, as announced by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Thursday.

DeLong and Won were also honored on the All-Defensive Team. Madison Vice was chosen to the All-Freshman Team.

Hinton, a grad student, is now a two-time All-WHAC honoree; she was All-WHAC Second Team a year ago. Through the WHAC Tournament quarterfinals, Hinton leads the team with averages of 14.6 points per game, 4.3 assists and 1.9 steals. She is third on the team in rebounds (6.0).

Within the WHAC, Hinton ranks fourth in assists, fifth in steals and ninth in scoring.

DeLong and Won, both seniors, have been key cogs for one of the top defenses in the NAIA. The pair is tied for the team lead in rebounds (6.6 rpg). SHU's defense is currently rated No. 2 in the country (49.7 points allowed per game).

DeLong is also the team leader in blocks (1.9) and field-goal percentage (.530) while ranking second in scoring (9.0) and third in steals (1.4). Within the WHAC, she is third in blocks and fourth in field-goal percentage.

Won ranks No. 2 on the Saints' roster in assists (3.0), steals (1.8) and blocks (0.5) while rating fifth in points (7.9). Inside the WHAC, she is sixth in steals and 10th in assists.

Hinton, DeLong and Won are among 3 of 4 Saints to start in all 29 games thus far. They, Vice and four others have played in all 29.

Vice is the top 3-point shooter in the WHAC wih a .389 percentage. She is third on the SHU team with 1.4 assists per game.

Siena Heights had 11 players named to the Academic All-WHAC Team. They were DeLong, Won, Eva Alcock, Lauren DeWolf, Jillian Gelso, Julia Gilbert, Mikayla Marzean, Molly Prince, Emma Tooley, Cameron Tripp and Ky'Sonna Won.

Alcock was also honored on the WHAC Champions of Character Team.
