GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Jillian Gelso led a quartet of Siena Heights scorers in double-figures with 17 points as the Saints' women's basketball team earned a 68-56 win over WHAC opponent Cornerstone on Saturday.

Gelso was followed by Olivia DeLong (15), Kayla Hinton (14) and Jakarri Alven (11). Alven also had six assists and Hinton made five steals. E'Anna Won grabbed seven rebounds.

SHU (21-3, 16-3) started out hot, taking a 12-0 lead in the opening quarter. The Saints held CU scoreless on the Golden Eagles' first 12 possessions until the hosts finally found points with 2:02 left in the quarter.

Cornerstone (12-11, 10-8) made a late rally in the fourth quarter, trimming the margin to two points on two occasions. Each time, the Saints had an answer.

After CU pulled within 53-51, Gelso connected on a 3-pointer. Then, the Eagles came within 56-54 and Hinton responded with a layup.
