Women's Hoops' 18-Game Streak Snapped By #21 Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The second-longest winning streak in Siena Heights women's basketball team history ended Wednesday night with an 80-67 WHAC loss at 21st-ranked Indiana Tech.

Kayla Hinton led the Saints (18-3, 13-2) with 26 points while E'Moni Guice-Finch contributed 12. E'Anna Won added 10 points and Olivia DeLong grabbed eight rebounds.

The host Warriors (18-3, 15-0) dominated the first half, jumping in front with an 11-0 start before taking an eventual 50-21 halftime lead.

The Saints battled back in the third quarter, outscoring Indiana Tech 23-11 to pull within 61-44. Hinton caught fire in the quarter with 18 points.

Siena Heights continued to chip away at the margin, closing to 69-60 on a 3-pointer by Guice-Finch, before Indiana Tech pushed the lead back to double-figures.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday with a 3 p.m. tip-off for its 20th annual Pink Game. The opponent will be Cleary.
