HEAD COACH: Sue Syljebeck is in her 20th season as the head coach of the Saints women's basketball program. She is the program's winningest coach with a career record of 371-230. Syljebeck currently ranks 20th on the NAIA Women's basketball active coach wins list. She will be assisted this year by Deb Ray, Sara Chrenko, Niesha Lowe, Mo Rammuny, Dan Brooks and Tee Watters.

 

WINNERS OF A DOZEN: The Saints ran their winning streak to 12 games last week with a 73-41 win over Rochester and a 78-58 victory against Cornerstone.

Kayla Hinton and Madison Vice scored 12 points each for the Saints against Dearborn while Jakarri Alven totaled 10.

Hinton made six assists. Vice and E'Anna Won grabbed six rebounds apiece. Olivia DeLong had two blocks.

Against Cornerstone, Hinton totaled 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals while DeLong recorded a double-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Jillian Gelso added 11 points and Jakarri Alven grabbed 11 rebounds for the Saints.

SHU swept the season series against UMD last year, taking two home victories against the Wolverines, 96-63 and 70-43.

The Saints have won their last four against the Blue Devils, who are coaches by SHU alum Grace Howrigon. Last year, the Saints earned 72-55 and 66-52 wins over LTU.
