Women's Basketball Welcomes Cross-Town Rival Adrian To SHU Fieldhouse

HEAD COACH: Sue Syljebeck is in her 20th season as the head coach of the Saints women's basketball program. She is the program's winningest coach with a career record of 361-230. Syljebeck currently ranks 22nd on the NAIA Women's basketball active coach wins list. She will be assisted this year by Deb Ray, Sara Chrenko, Niesha Lowe, Mo Rammuny, Dan Brooks and Tee Watters.
 
LAST WEEK: Jillian Gelso buried six 3-pointers en route to a 22-point, nine-rebound effort. Kayla Hinton had her second straight double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in a 71-55 win over Lourdes. E'Anna Won had 14 points and five assists. Brooke Rebman added 13 points for SHU.
 
The Saints followed with a 65-45 win against Aquinas. Madison Vice buried seven 3-pointers en route to 23 points. Hinton added 11 points and nine rebounds while Won finished with 10 points and six steals. Olivia DeLong hauled down eight rebounds.

Hinton: Team-high 12.5 points per game, team-high 8.5 rebounds

Vice: 11.5 ppg, .577 field-goel percentage, .545 three-point percentage

Gelso: 9.0 ppg

Won: 8.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg, team-high 3.8 apg, team-high 2.3 spg

Jakarri Alven: 7.0 ppg, .556 field-goal percentage

DeLong: 6.5 rpg

 

ALL-TIME SERIES: Siena Heights has won the last two meetings ,74-60 and 64-47. Adrian's last win came in 2019 when the Bulldogs earned a 56-52 victory at AC.
