WHAC Quarterfinal For Women's Basketball Tips Off on Wednesday
 
UPCOMING FOR SHU: Siena Heights ended the regular season in a tie for 2nd place in the WHAC.  They earn the #2 seed in the WHAC Tournament and will battle UNOH in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 22 at 7 pm in the SHU Fieldhouse.
 
HEAD COACH: Sue Syljebeck is in her 19th season as the head coach of the Saints women's basketball program. She is the program's winningest coach with a career record of 358-226. Syljebeck currently ranks 22nd on the NAIA Women's basketball active coach wins list. She will be assisted this year by Deb Ray, Sara Chrenko, Niesha Lowe, Mo Rammuny, Dan Brooks and Tee Watters.
 
GAME ONE AT UNOH:  The Siena Heights Women's Basketball team saw their perfect start on the season end with a double overtime loss at Northwestern Ohio on Saturday.  With the loss, the Saints fall to 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in the WHAC.   Peyton Banks led the Saints with 24 points for the game.  Olivia DeLong had 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double while Sha'kyia Parker added 12 points and Kayla Hinton chipped in 11 points.  Hinton also led the Saints with five assists.
 
GAME TWO AT SHU:  Peyton Banks poured in 39 points as the Siena Heights women's basketball team ran past Northwestern Ohio for a 78-65 victory on Saturday at the SHU Fieldhouse.  Banks also had 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double as SHU dominated the fourth quarter to earn the win.  E'Anna Won added 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Saints.
 
RECORD WATCH: Peyton Banks broke the SHU career scoring record on November 30th, surpassing Laura Panozzo's previous mark of 1,812.  She reached the 2,000 point plateau on January 25th.  On February 18th, she eclipsed the 1,000 rebound plateau becoming the second player in SHU women's basketball history to have at least 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.  Her 1,002 career rebounds are 97 away from the lead in that category.   Her 681 field goals are 2nd best in SHU history.   Banks has moved into 4th place in 3-pt FG.  She sits 2 points away from 2,100.  She is only 24 points away from the SHU basketball (men's & women's) history mark in scoring of 2,122 held by Brent Tucker. 
 
Sha'kyia Parker surpassed the 1,000 point plateau on January 4th.  She has now moved into 10th place in the SHU record book with 1,215 points.  She sits 29 points back of the 9th place total in SHU history.  She was the 13th women's basketball player at Siena Heights to reach 1,000 points..  She has now moved into 3rd place in SHU history for career 3-point field goals, currently sitting at 198.  Her 536 3-pt field goal attempts place her in 4th place, 44 attempts behind the 3rd place mark.
 
Allye Minor has 264 career assists, moving her into a tie for 8th best in SHU history, 17 assists back of the 7th place total.
