Banks Scores 39 In Women's Basketball Win Over UNOH

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Peyton Banks poured in 39 points as the Siena Heights women's basketball team ran past Northwestern Ohio for a 78-65 victory on Saturday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Banks also had 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double as SHU dominated the fourth quarter to earn the win.

E'Anna Won added 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Saints (17-4, 10-3).

After a lackluster first half, SHU outscore the Racers 51-33 in the second half. Siena Heights was 9 of 32 from the field in the first (28.1 percent) before heating up to 19 of 29 in the second (65.5).

Banks gave Siena Heights the lead for good early in the fourth quarter with a layup and free throw. That basket put the Saints ahead 56-54.

Later in the fourth, SHU broke the game open with an 11-point run. Leading 60-59, Banks led the charge with five points as Siena Heights stretched the advantage to 72-59.

Jada Haines was UNOH's leading scorer with 24 points. Alysia Lawson added 14 points and eight rebounds.

SHU will return to action on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. WHAC game at Madonna.
