Hinton's Double Leads Women's Basketball Past Washington Adventist

TACOMA PARK, Md. -- Kayla Hinton recorded a double-double as the Siena Heights women's basketball team used a strong second half to down non-conference opponent Washington Adventist.

Hinton finished with 20 points, 12 assists and three steals for the Saints (10-3), who battled back from a 35-32 halftime deficit. SHU outscored Washington Adventist, 47-33, in the second half.

Brooke Rebman added 16 points. Sha'kyia Parker had 13 points and five assists and now sits 48 points away from the 1,000-career-point plateau. Olivia DeLong was the leading rebounder with eight boards.

Peyton Banks returned to the lineup and scored 11 points. She now has 1,850 career points.

Brianna Jones led Washington Adventist with 16 points and Jahnaya Peterson totaled 15. Sole Carroll put in 13.

Siena Heights will return to action at the SHU Holiday Tournament with games against Indiana East and St. Francis (Ill.) on Dec. 28 and 30.
