ADRIAN, MICH. - Sha'kyia Parker tied a career high in points as the Saints topped Adrian College in a cross town rivalry game by a score of 74-60.

Siena Heights held a four point lead at the end of the first quarter and built their lead through the remainder of the game.  At halftime, the lead had jumped to five, with the 3rd quarter bringing the lead to 12 parts before a two point advantage in the fourth quarter netted the final margin.

The Saints shot nearly 40% from the floor including a 40% clip from behind the arc.  They held the Bulldogs to a 36% clip from the field and 19% mark from behind the arc.  A 22-17 turnover margin in favor of the Saints aided the outcome as well.

Parker hit the Saints' first basket of the game, a three pointer just over a minute and a half into the game.  That gave the Saints their first lead, one they would never relinquish for the remainder of the game.  The Bulldogs stayed close, pulling to within two points after a three point basket to start the third quarter, a 6-0 run by the Saints pushed the lead back to eight points with eight minutes left in the third, the lead would never go below six the rest of the game.

Parker's 30 points matched her career high, which she set at Cornerstone on January 29th during the 2021-22 season.  Her point total was more than double that of any other player on either team on this night.  The Saints had two other players with double digit points, Allye Minor had 13 points with Kayla Hinton adding 12.  Peyton Banks led the team with seven rebounds with Minor adding five assists and Hinton adding three steals.

UP NEXT – The Saints take a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday and return to action on Saturday when they host their annual Thanksgiving Tournament.  They will play Governors State on Saturday and 4 pm and Keiser on Sunday at 4 pm.
