LIMA, OHIO -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team held the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) allowed less than 10 points in each of the first three quarters on the way to a 62-44 blowout win on Saturday afternoon. The Saints (23-7, 15-5 WHAC) finish the regular season in third place in the conference standings with a 15-5 record in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).

Sha'kyia Parker led SHU in scoring with 17 points in 35 minutes of play on the afternoon. Parker shot 6-15 from the floor and had active hands on defense as she registered two steals and three blocks in the winning effort. Peyton Banks and Anaya Powell each finished with 12 points. Banks went 4-8 from the floor while hauling down seven rebounds, dishing two assists, and recording one steal. Powell shot 5-9 in the contest while dishing a game-high five assists. Her efforts on the defensive end resulted in a steal and a block for her stat line.

Powell scored the game's first two baskets in the opening 3:07 of the game to give Siena Heights the 4-0 lead. The Racers responded with back-to-back layups to knot things up with 5:01 left on the clock. A layup at the 2:30 mark gave UNOH a 6-5 lead before Allye Minor made a layup for the Saints to recapture the lead, 7-6, with 91 seconds left in the opening period. Banks made a pair of free throws, and Parker made a three-point jumper at the buzzer to hold a 12-7 lead into the second quarter.

Banks hit a jumper that sparked an 8-0 run in the opening two minutes that pushed SHU lead to 20-7. The Saints ended the second quarter the way they began it, with an 8-0 run that increased their advantage to 33-16 as the teams entered the locker room at the half.

SHU came out firing in the third as the third began with a 12-2 run that extended the lead to 45-18. However, the Racers made their first field goal of the quarter at the 4:14 mark as the Saints pulled the score further out of the home team's reach.

The fourth quarter was mainly mop-up duty for the visitors as they nursed a 26-point lead through the final 10-minutes of play to earn the victory.
