ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team led the entire way to a 79-42 win against Lourdes in the Saints' final home game of the regular season. SHU (22-7, 14-5 WHAC) improves to 14 wins in league play. They currently sit third in the conference standings with just one game remaining on the schedule before the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament kicks off next week.

Peyton Banks led the way for Siena with 17 points in the win. Banks hauled in eight rebounds while also having one assist in the game. Sha'kyia Parker tallied 16 points and a rebound to contribute to the victory. Allye Minor was 5-8 from the floor to 13 points on the evening. E'Anna Won made most of the hustle plays for SHU as the sophomore guard led with a game-high nine rebounds and five assists.

Banks hit a three-point jumper in the opening possession, and the Saints never looked back from that point until the final buzzer sounded. A jumper by Minor followed the three to put the Saints up 5-2. A layup by Lourdes cut the lead to 5-4 with 5:21, and that was the closest the game would get as a 5-0 run ended the second with SHU on top 15-6.

Anaya Powell hit a three-point jumper in the opening two minutes of the second quarter to give the Saints the first double-digit lead, 18-6. Banks made a pair of free throws, and Minor made a layup and a three to spark a 12-0 tun that extended the lead to 32-8 with just over 4:30 left in the half. Parker hit a shot from beyond the arc that ignited a 9-0 run that finished out the second quarter in commanding fashion as the home team entered the locker room with a 41-12 lead.

In the third, a 6-0 run grew the lead to 31 points as the score remained heavily in favor of Siena Heights. The Saints cleared the bench in the fourth, and senior Anne Rousseau made the most of her minutes by scoring back-to-back layups that gave Siena its largest lead of the game, 76-39, with 1:42 remaining in regulation.
