Saints Fall on the Road Against Warriors

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team fell to #17 Indiana Tech, 71-45, on the road on Wednesday night. The Saints (20-7, 12-5 WHAC) tallied the second-fewest points of the season in the loss.

Sha'kyia Parker led the Saints in points again with 16. She also led defensively with two steals. Peyton Banks registered 12 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort. E'Anna Won scored seven points while hauling in four rebounds.

Banks made a layup that tied the score at two points in the opening two minutes before a 7-0 run by the Warriors built a 9-2 advantage. The Saints kept the deficit to seven until another 7-0 run by Indiana Tech ended the first quarter with a 20-6 lead for the home team.

The lead continued to build in the second quarter as the Saints failed to chip away at the lead before the intermission had the score at 36-13 in favor of Indiana Tech.

The Saints scored 15 points in the third and 17 in the fourth, but it wasn't enough to catch the Warriors before time expired.
