ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team bounced back from Saturday's loss with a blowout win over Concordia (Mich.), 76-57, inside the SHU Fieldhouse on Monday night. The Saints (20-6, 12-4 WHAC) take sole possession of third place in the conference standings with the win over the Cardinals.

The first quarter was tight as the score was tied five times in the opening 10 minutes. A jumper by Won gave SHU an 11-8 lead with 2:34 remaining on the clock. The Cardinals hit a three to tie things up before Powell made the final bucket of the first to give Siena the 13-11 lead going into the second.

Concordia started with a layup that began a 6-0 run to pull ahead 17-13 in the opening two minutes and forced the Saints to call a time out. Powell drilled back-to-back three-pointers out of the break, and the score was tied at 19 with just over 6:30 left in the half. Powell's second jumper from distance sparked a huge, 18-0 run that spanned 4:50 and gave Siena Heights a 34-19 lead. Parker's pair of free throws ended the half with a 40-24 advantage for the Saints as the teams entered the locker room.

An 8-0 run by the Cardinals started the second half with a trimmed margin of 11 with just over two minutes expired. A steal by Won set up a Banks layup as the Saints scored eight-straight points to push ahead 54-34 at the 3:29 mark. A pair of free throws by Minor gave SHU its largest lead of the day, 56-35, as the Saints never looked back.

A 5-0 run sparked by DeLong maintained the 20-point edge for Siena Heights as the deficit never shrank below 15 as SHU earned its 12th win in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play.
