ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball suffered a 69-57 upset to Michigan-Dearborn inside the SHU Fieldhouse on senior day. The Saints (19-6, 11-4 WHAC) had their worst shooting performance from the three-point line (1-22) since last season. The Wolverines (9-16, 7-9 WHAC) shooting 11-24 from beyond the arc proved to be the difference in the game.

Peyton Banks finished the game with a team-high 14 points on 5-11 shooting and a total of 13 rebounds to complete her double-double. Sha'kyia Parker totaled nine points in the losing effort. Olivia DeLong also netted nine points off the bench for the Saints. Allye Minor led with four assists, and E'Anna Won had eight points and six rebounds.

SHU used a 6-0 run in the middle of the first quarter to grab a 13-8 lead with 4:25 left on the clock--the largest lead of the game for Siena Heights. Three free throws by the Wolverines cut the Saint lead to 14-13 before a 5-0 run to end the quarter gave Michigan-Dearborn an 18-14 lead as time expired.

Madison Hamilton and Won combined for the first five points of the second quarter as Siena Heights recaptured the lead, 19-18 in the opening 90 seconds of the second quarter. A jumper by UM-Dearborn sparked a 9-0 run, and the score flipped to the Wolverines' advantage, 27-19. The lead hovered around eight points for the rest of the half as a jumper in the final 15 ticks gave Michigan-Dearborn the 32-24 lead at the break.

Layups by Banks and DeLong cut the deficit to 35-34 with 4:23 to go in the third frame. A layup by Banks tied the score before a jumper by Parker gave the Saints the 38-36 advantage in the final three minutes. The score tied with a three-point shot by the Wolverines in the last ticks of the quarter as the game moved into the fourth quarter with a deadlock at 41.

The visitors' four-straight three-point jumpers made up a 12-0 run that gave the Wolverines a 57-45 lead that they would never surrender. Anaya Powell made the only three-point shot of the game for the Saints at the 4:57 mark of the fourth that brought the margin to nine points, but SHU could never dig out of the hole created by the quarter's earlier run.
