ADRIAN, Mich. -- Peyton Banks scored 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Siena Heights women's basketball team outscored Adrian College 21-10 in the final quarter to earn a 64-47 win over the Bulldogs (2-4). The Saints (7-1) defense negated poor shooting as they held Adrian to 24.6% shooting from its lowest shooting percentage of the season (24.6%).

Banks completed the evening with her fifth double-double of the season with 28 points and 11 rebounds. She was 7-13 from the floor and 13-17 from the free-throw line. Sha'kyia Parker hit all five of her shots from the stripe as she tallied 15 points in the winning effort. Parker contributed three rebounds, two assists, and two steals as well. E'Anna Won scored double-digit points for the second-straight game with 10 points. She also pulled down seven boards and dished two assists. Allye Minor led the Saints with four assists while adding eight rebounds to her totals.

Siena Heights scored the first nine points of the contest to jump to a quick lead. Adrian responded with an 8-0 run the cut the lead to 9-8 with just 1:35 left in the opening quarter. Banks split two free-throw attempts in the final minute to give the Saints the 10-8 lead as the quarter ended.

Parker hit a layup through a foul and added the and-one to push the lead to 13-8 in the opening minute of the second. A three-point jumper by AC cut the lead to two as the score remained within two scores for most of the quarter. With the Saints leading 23-19, Jordan Phillips made a three for the Bulldogs, and Kiaya Warner scored a layup to complete a 5-0 to give Adrian its only lead of the game, 24-23, with 2:08 left in the first half. Siena Heights added five free throws and a three-point jumper to their totals as they pulled away for a 31-24 advantage as the teams entered the locker room.

Adrian battled back with a 5-0 run in the third quarter that put the score back to within a bucket, 31-29. However, the score remained close, much like the second quarter, as the Saints could only build a 43-37 edge as the quarter ended.

Siena finally found the bottom of the net in the final period as back-to-back three-point jumpers gave the Saints the game's first double-digit lead, 49-37, with 7:43 left on the clock. Then, Won hit a jumper at 6:34 that sparked a 9-0 run that put SHU up 58-39 with 4:45 to play. The remaining six points were scored from the charity stripe as the Saints survived through poor shooting.
