Two free throws from Savanah Gibson (Birch Run, Mich.) made two free throws to push the lead to nine points, 13-4, with 4:28 left in the first quarter. An old-fashioned three-point play by the Cardinals cut the SHU lead to 13-7 before Morrow made the final basket of the opening period for a 15-7 advantage.

Peyton Banks (Wadsworth, Ohio) made a layup at the 7:15 mark that sparked a 9-0 run for the Saints and extended the lead to 33-13. A 6-1 run in the final 2:30 of the half pushed things 41-19 as the teams entered the locker room for halftime.

Morrow ignited a 7-0 run in the opening four minutes of the third with a layup. That run increased the SHU advantage to 51-24. Kelsey Wyman (Blissfield, Mich.) finished the quarter with a pair of free throws that gave SHU a 30-point lead, 71-40, as the game moved into the final quarter.

Again, Morrow started a run with a layup to begin a quarter. This time it was an 8-0 run in the first three minutes and it moved the lead up further for the blue and yellow. Hadley Gratz (Carleton, Mich.) hit all four of her free-throw attempts in mop-up duty to put the margin at 40 points, 92-52, for the first time in the game. Alix Carter (Toledo, Ohio) finished off the scoring with a three-point jumper in the final 1:30 of the game.
