With the completion of the 2016-17 women's basketball seaon, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced is awards for the season.

Senior, April Watson was selected to the All-Conference first team and also named to the all-defensive team. Watson finished the regular season averaging 19.5 points per game and 10.8 rebounds per game. She also hit the 1,000 point milestone in the final game of the regular season. 

Earning second team all-conference was senior, Jaaliyah Arrington. Arrington averaged 11.2 points per game and 3.4  rebounds per game. She was also a honored as a member of the all-academic team which requires and 3.2 GPA or higher, and at least junior status. 

Freshman, Demi Russell was named to the all-freshman team. In her debut season, Russell recorded 6.1 points per game and 2.6 rebounds per game. 

Avery Chezem, a sophomore was named to the Champions of Character team for the second consecutive season. 

The Saints will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 22 when they host Cornerstone in the WHAC tournament quarterfinals. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
