Women's basketball senior, April Watson is named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference player of the week for the second straight week. This is Watson's third player of the week honor this season, and fourth of her career.  

Before the Saints' final regular season game, Watson had a career total of 979 points. Against Lourdes, Watson scored her 1000th point as a Saint in just two seasons. This season, she ranks second all time at Siena Heights in points in a season (586), points per game (19.5) and in blocks (56) where she is second to her own record last season which was 61. 

Last week, Watson captured her 17th and 18th double-double of the season where she scored 29 points and pulled down ten rebounds against No. 6 Davenport, and knocked in 22 points and grabbed a career high, 20 boards against Lourdes. 

In her two year career at SHU, Watson holds the career record in blocks (161) and points per game (16.7). She now ranks fourth in the NAIA in total rebounds (324), sixth in total blocks (56) and eighth in scoring (586).

Watson and the Saints will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 22, when they host Cornerstone in the first round of the WHAC tournament. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
