The No. 25 ranked Siena Heights women's basketball team closed out the 2016-17 regular season on Saturday with a win over Lourdes (Ohio). The Saints finished with a 22-8 overall record and a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference record of 15-7.
SHU finished third in the conference, behind first place Davenport and second place Indiana Tech, who are ranked No. 6 and No. 18 in the NAIA respectively.
In the WHAC tournament first round, the Saints will host the 6th-seed Cornerstone on Wednesday, Feb. 22 with a 7:30 p.m. game time.
Siena Heights split with the Golden Eagles in the regular season, falling 59-56 on Nov. 12, 2016, then defeating CU 73-50 on Jan. 25, 2017.
With a win on Wednesday, the Saints would then advance to the tournament semi-finals on Saturday, Feb. 25, where the higher seed will host.
No passes will be accepted. Admission is $7. SHU students, faculty and staff will be admitted for free with Siena Heights ID.
