Women's Basketball Hits Century Mark in Win Over CCSJ

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team cruised past Calumet Saint Joseph (Ind.), 100-32, in a non-conference contest on Wednesday.

The Saints took control of the game early, finishing the first period 31-10, and never looked back.

Five Saints finished in double digits. Clara Waidley lead SHU with 16 points, followed by Willow Cohn with 14 points and Taylar McNeal with 12 points. Both April Watson and Lauren Wirth finished with 10 points. Caroline Streeter earned six assists for the Saints.

Julyssa Saez put-up 16 points and one assist for the Crimson Wave (1-14). Stephanie Daniels grabbed 11 boards for CCSJ.

Overall, the Saints shot 43-75 (57.3 percent) from the field while the Crimson Wave shot 9-43 (20.9 percent) from the floor.

Siena Heights (9-5) will be back in action on Saturday against conference opponent Northwestern Ohio. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
