ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker of a contest in overtime to conference opponent Indiana Tech, 86-82, on Wednesday.

The visiting Warriors took control quickly in the first period, extending their lead to eight points over the Saints twice.

The Saints responded in the second period, Willow Cohn making the tying three-pointer for the Saints with 4:27 left in the period. SHU left for halftime with the lead, 37-35.

Siena Heights put up four quick baskets, resulting in an 11 point lead with 7:48 left in the third period. The Saints steadily kept the lead through the third.

With six minutes remaining in the game, Kendall Knapke hit a three-pointer for the Warriors, to take the lead. The Saints siezed control again, winning 70-67 with less than ten seconds remaining. With 00:06 on the clock, Haley Cook was awarded with three free throw shots, after being fouled while shooting a three-pointer. Cook made all three shots, forcing the Saints into overtime.

In the five minutes of overtime, the majority of the lead belonged to the Warriors. The Saints fell 86-82.

Ra'Shawn Calvert led the Saints in points with 17 and assists, three. April Watson tacked on nine points and 12 boards while fellow forward Lauren Wirth put up 15 points and eight rebounds. Jaaliyah Arrington added 16 points for SHU (5-5, 2-4).

Cook went 10 of 10 in free throws for the Warriors (8-3, 5-1), adding 22 points and three assists in total on the night. Taylor Seiss had 20 points while two other Warriors were in double-digits, Taylor Carver (10) and Knapke (14).

Overall, the Saints went 31-71 (43.7 percent) from the floor, 7-20 (35 percent) from three-point land and 13-19 (68.4 percent) from the free throw line. Indiana Tech went 26-62 (41.9 percent), 11-24 (45.8 percent) from behind the three-point arch and 23-27 (85.2 percent) from the free throw line.

The Saints will take on Michigan-Dearborn at home on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
