ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team defeated cross-town rival Adrain, 57-48, in a non-conference game, on Tuesday.

After ten minutes of play, the score was 11-9 in the Saints favor. Beginning the second quarter, the Saints went on an 10-1 run to extend the lead, which would hold steady for the remainder of the game.

April Watson led Siena Heights in scoring with 17 points. Watson also had nine boards and three blocks. Lauren Wirth totaled 11 rebounds and eight points for the Saints.

Off the bench, Ashley Perry put-up eight points and eight assists for SHU.

The Bulldogs' (1-3) leading scorer was Jorden York with 16 points, followed closely by Antoinea McElroy with 12 points.

The Saints (3-2) will host the SHU Thanksgiving Tournament bringing in opponents Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), Georgetown (Ky.) and Great Lakes Christian. The first game for Siena Heights will be at 6 p.m., on Saturday.
