MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The Siena Heights softball team swept two contests at the SpaceCoast Games on Thursday, defeating Fort Lauderdale, 4-1, and Roosevelt, 8-0.

The Saints will play again on Friday with games against Ave Maria and Grace.

Game one: Siena Heights 4, Fort Lauderdale 1
Winning pitcher Shyann Truax fired a complete game, allowing one run on three hits. She recorded six strikeouts and one walk.

The Saints scored all of their runs in the third inning, getting RBI singles from Truax, Courtnee Chappetta and Emma Marshall.

Game two: Siena Heights 8, Roosevelt 0
Jordan Green spun a two-hit shutout for the Saints. She had one strikeout and five walks.

Avery Schellenberger batted 3-for-4 with a run and RBI while Faith Breinager, Kat Moreau and Courtnee Chappetta delivered two-hit games. Breinager had two RBI, Moreau scored twice and Chappetta scored one run and drove in another. Sydney Hazlett added two runs scored.

The Saints took a 3-0 lead in the second inning. Breinager had a two-run single.

Chappetta crunched an RBI double in the fifth.

During the seventh, Marshall ripped a two-run single. Hazlett and Schellenberger added RBI singles.
