Softball Drops Pair at UNOH

LIMA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights softball team dropped a pair of games to WHAC opponent Northwestern Ohio, 9-1 and 5-0, on Sunday.

The Saints (12-27, 8-12) will finish their conference schedule Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. home doubleheader against Madonna.

 

Game one: UNOH 9, SHU 1 (5 innings)

Lauren Dioszegi had a two-hit game for the Saints, who took a one-run lead in the first inning, but did not score the rest of the day.

Eva Curtis had an RBI single in that opening frame. The host Racers took the lead with a four-run first and added three in the third and two in the fourth.

 

Game two: UNOH 5, SHU 0

Ally Frank had a double for the Saints while Shyann Truax went the distance in the circle, finishing with five strikeouts and four walks.

UNOH went ahead with a two-run second inning and scored insurance runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth frames.
