HOW IT HAPPENED

Julia Hogston doubled to right-center in the top half of the 2nd-inning to move Tori Harding to third and score Kat Moreau for the 1-0 lead. Hill singled to left, bringing home Hogston and Harding to extend things to 3-0.

The Gray Wolves took the lead in the fourth with a four-run outing. A home run in the fifth extended the lead to 5-3.

Hogston reappeared in the top half of the sixth to triple to right-center and bring Moreau home to cut the home lead to 5-4. Hogston and Hill crossed the plate on a throwing error and the Saints led 6-5 going into the bottom half of the 6th-inning. An RBI single for the Gray Wolves knotted things up at six as the teams moved into the final inning of regulation.

With neither team scoring in the seventh, the game moved to extras. Hill reached base on a fielder's choice that got Harding out at third but allowed Moreau to score what would the game-winning run after SHU achieved three outs in the bottom half of the inning to seal it.

Game two started off with Sam Spicer hitting a sacrifice fly to score Kelsey Uhl that put Siena up 1-0 in the top half of the third.

Lourdes then scored in the fourth with a two-RBI single that turned out to be the winning runs of the second game.
