HOW IT HAPPENED

Two errors by the Saints in the bottom of the third contributed to four runs for the Celtics. Siena cut the lead to two runs in the 4th-inning when Uhl scored on an RBI single by Tori Harding. A bobbled ball by Carlow allowed Sam Spicer to score from third and the score was 4-2. SHU scored another run in the 5th-inning when another error by the Celtics brought Sam Hill home. Carlow would score in the bottom half of the inning to make the deficit 5-3. Spicer hit an RBI double in the top of the 7th-inning that got the rally going. Harding singled to short, scoring Milah Loose and the Saints tied the game at five. The final run came off a ground out by Kat Moreau that brought Herrera to the plate and the Saints secured the win after three outs in the bottom half of the 7th-inning.

The second game saw Siena Heights take an early 2-0 lead in the 3rd-inning and never surrender the advantage. The third began with Julia Hogston getting on base with a double to left. Hill followed her lead and singled up the middle to put runners on the corners with no outs. Two batters later, Uhl singled up the middle and scored Hogston for the 1-0 lead. Haley Rose then brought Hill home on a single for the 2-0 lead. Hill scored Harding with a two-out bunt that turned into an RBI base hit and extended the lead to 3-0. Lily Guerra then slapped a single to right field, scoring Hill and putting the Saints ahead 4-0. Carlow scored a run in the bottom half of the 4th-inning, but the Saints closed things out with a run in the 6th-inning off a single from Uhl with the bases loaded and Siena Heights held out for the 5-1 win.
