Softball Heading to Marion, Indiana for 2019 NAIA Softball Opening Round

KANSAS CITY -- The Siena Heights softball team was selected to compete in the Marion, Indiana bracket of the 2019 NAIA Opening Round Tournament. The Saints were given a four seed and will face the top-seed in the Marion Bracket, Oregon Tech, in the second game of the day on Monday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. Game one will feature the number two seed, and host, Indiana Wesleyan versus #3 Central Baptist (Ark.) at 11:00 a.m.

The tournament features 40 teams competing in 10 four-team brackets across the country. These brackets will each play a double-elimination tournament that begins on May 13 and will end on May 15. Each team that wins its respective bracket will move on to compete in the 2019 NAIA World Series in Springfield, Mo. from May 23-29.

Siena Heights earned the second automatic bid from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) by winning the conference tournament over UNOH on Monday, May 6.
