Siena Heights softball sophomore Kelsie Abbott was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America governing body recently.

Abbott is an outfielder and pitcher for the Saints. She majors in nursing.

In order to be elligible for this award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. This is an award to recognize student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
