Softball Gets Swept By Madonna

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights softball team fell to Madonna with scores of 6-2 and 13-4 on Wednesday. With the two losses the Saints are now 16-16 and 2-2 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Leading the Saints in game one were Kris Forest with two hits, one being a solo home run off the scoreboard. Megan Jones drove in the second run for the Saints.Kelsie Abbott takes the loss on the mound pitching six full innings. She gave up eight hits, six runs, four being earned, had one walk and three stike outs.

Leading the Saints in game two were Hailey Fox and Kelsey Cherry each with two hits. Arica Vasquez drove in two runs for the Saints and Hannah Yadon also had and RBI. Olivia Smith takes the loss on the mound pitching only 1.2 innings. She gave up seven runs, four beinging earned, had three walks and one strike out.

The Saints will be back in action on Saturday, April 16, as they travel to Grand Rapids to face Cornerstone in a WHAC double-header starting at 11 a.m.
