ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights softball team defeated Saint Francis (Ind.) 8 to 7 in 10 innings in game one and 9 to 1 in 5 innings in game two.

The Cougars jumped ahead of the Saints early taking a 4-0 lead as they went into the bottom of two. SHU pushed across the only run until the bottom of seven. Heading into the bottom of seven the Saints were down 6 to 1, SHU scored 5 runs sending game one into extra innings. Skylar Crenshaw drove in the winning run in the bottom of the tenth.

Crenshaw led the offense with three hits, Kelsie Abbott and Kenya Keller each with two. Crenshaw, Keller and Megan Jones each drove in two runs. Arica Vasquez gets the win for SHU. She went 2.2 innings, gave up one hit, had one strike out and walked one batter.

In game two, SHU jumped off to an early 2-0 lead and pushed runs across the board every inning. The Saints had great defense behind Lesley Ducat turning two double plays.

Leading the offense was Abbott with three hits and M. Jones with two. Abbott had three RBIs and Keller had two. Hannah Yadon drove in the winning run with a single to right field. Ducat gets the win in the circle. She pitched 5.0 innings, she gave up 4 hits, 1 run and two walks.

The Saints (13-13) will be back in action tomorrow as they travel Adrian College for a double-header. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.!
