ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights softball team swept non-conference opponent in two home contests on Monday. The Saints won with scores of 3-1 and 11-0.

The game was quiet through the first and second innings. In the bottom of the third, Kenya Keller sent Skylar Crenshaw home and Kelsie Abbott to second. Kris Forest walked, advancing Kellar and Abbott. Abbott took home, capitalizing on a wild pitch by Albion's pitcher Monica Brubnoni.

The Britons added a run in the fifth inning but the Saints answered with an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth to ensure the victory.

In game two, the Saints (11-13) took charge in the third inning where they scored six runs, in addition to their three runs scored in the previous two innings, to gain a 9-0 lead going into the fourth inning.

In the fourth, SHU added two more runs making it 11-0 and forcing Albion to score in order to keep the game alive.

The Saints' defense shut down the Britons (6-12), ending the game in five innings.

In the circle for SHU, Abbott took home the win, earning four strikeouts and allowing only four hits. Hannah Bleikamp went 2-for-2 in the second game and scored three runs while Forest also finished 2-for-2 and earned one RBI.
