Yadon With A Walk Off RBI Single

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's softball team swept Roosevelt (Ill.) by scores of 8-1 and 2-1 in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday.

In game one, the Saints scored first, pushing two runs across in the bottom of the fourth. Roosevelt rallied back in the top of five earning one run. SHU had a huge sixth inning pushing six runs across the board.

The Saints had 10 hits in game one, three which came from Kelsie Abbott and two from Kenya Keller. Amy Nordstrom had two RBIs, Hannah Yadon, Abbott and Keller each had one. Abbott gets the win in the circle. She pitched all seven innings, gave up seven hits and had five strike outs.

In game two, SHU scored early in the bottom of one. The Lakers came back and scored in the top of six. The Saints led off the bottom of seven with a double from Hannah Bleikamp. Katie Hybl moved her over to third with a sac bunt, for Yadon to hit a walk off RBI single.

SHU (9-13) only had four hits, Skylar Crenshaw with a triple and Bleikamp with a double. Abbott and Yadon had the only RBIs for the Saints. Lesley Ducat gets another win in the circle. She went all seven innings, gave up five hits and one run.

The Siena Heights women's softball team will be back in action on Monday, Mar. 28 as they head to Albion for a 3:30 and 5:30 doubleheader.
