SHU Men's Cross County Finish 12th in Great Lakes Invitational

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– The Siena Heights men's cross country team finished twelfth overall in the Great Lakes Invitational. SHU ran a total time of 2:18.10 with an average time of 2:19:08.40 for a score of 328 points.

The race consisted of 42 total schools. The top five finishers were St. Mary (Kan.) with 52 points in first place. Followed by Indiana Wesleyan in second holding 83 points and Aquinas College in Third collecting 177 points. Cornerstone finished fourth with 203 points and Indian tech rounded out the top five tallying 2216 points. SHU was just ten points behind the tenth-place finisher Point Park (318).

Nethanel Leupold was the first Saint to cross the finish line, with a time of 27:24.40 and a 46th-place finish. The next Siena athlete to cross the end-line was Tyler Landis in 52nd place holding a run time of 27:35.70. Andrew Stern was third coming in at 27:38.40 in 57th place. Jay Moore was the last saint to place in the top 100. Running in a time of 27:54.90 earning him 73rd overall.
