SHU Men's Cross Country Run into Fifth Place in Bethel Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Indiana – The Siena Heights men's cross country team finished fifth overall in the Bethel University Cross Country Invitational. SHU ran a total time of 2:18.10 with an average time of 27:38 for a score of 137 points.

Indiana Wesleyan came in first with a score of 30. Purdue Fort Wayne (95) followed in second place and Olivet Nazarene (99) placed third. The host school, Bethel (132) earned fourth, while St. Ambrose (149) came in sixth behind SHU. Lourdes (167), Norte Dame Running club (170), Grace (177), and Governors State (316) filled out the remaining participants on the leaderboard.

Jacob Harberts crossed the finish line first for the Saints with a time of 26:31.8 to place seventh as an individual. Nethanel Leupold was the next Siena athlete to finish, coming in at 19th with a total time of 26:55.8. Jay Moore (27:50.4) and Tyler Landis (27:53.0) finished back-to-back in 34th and 35th place. As Colin Metzger rounded out the top five Siena Heights finishers running in 29:01.5.
