SAINT-MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team swept Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods in WHAC action on Friday. Set scores in favor of the Saints were 25-20, 25-23, 25-18.

Daniel Rua had 12 kills and Marc Arsenault smashed 11 kills for SHU (6-7, 4-5), which has won 3 of 4 matches. Zak Tucker made 35 assists and Jacob Kisner had 11 digs.

The Saints led most of the first set before holding off a late surge from the host Pomeroys. In the second, SHU trailed most of the way before a back-and-forth in the late stages. After SMC pulled into a 23-23 tie, the Saints ran off the final two points.

During the third, Siena Heights was down 11-5 before outscoring the Pomeroys 21-7 through the end of the match.

SHU will return to action on Saturday with a 12 p.m. match against Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods.
