Men's Volleyball Overcomes Early Deficit For Four-Set Win Over #RV Mount Vernon

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team rallied from a one-set deficit and earned a 3-1 victory over Mount Vernon Nazarene in WHAC action on Friday at the SHU Fieldhouse. Set scores, in favor of SHU, were 19-25, 28-26, 25-23, 25-14.

Daniel Rua hammered 20 kills and Marc Arsenault totaled 14 kills and 12 digs.

Zak Tucker made 49 assists, Jacob Kisner had 10 digs and Jakob Pickett totaled five blocks. Rasi Bailey smashed nine kills.

Siena Heights (3-1, 1-0) led 17-12 in the opening set before MVNU stormed back with a set-finishing 13-2 streak.

Momentum shifted in the second set as the Saints clawed through 22 ties before finishing the set on a 4-1 run.

The third set featured 12 ties -- the final knot at 20-20 -- until the Saints finished it off to take a 2-1 match lead.

SHU put the hammer down in the fourth with a .385 hit percentage. The Saints trailed 5-4 before going on a seven-point streak. They led the rest of the way after that.

Siena Heights and MVNU (2-1, 0-1) will meet again on Saturday for a 3 p.m. WHAC contest at the SHU Fieldhouse.
