Men's Volleyball Swept in Season Opener at Georgetown (Ky.)

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team opened its season with a 3-0 loss to Georgetown (Ky.) on Sunday. Set scores, in favor of Georgetown, were 25-21, 25-17, 25-10.

Jakob Pickett and Jonathan Stovring led the Saints with six kills apiece while Zak Tucker made 20 assists.

The opening set featured nine ties before Georgetown pulled away after the set's final tie at 15-15.

In the second, Georgetown broke a 3-3 tie with four consecutive points and held to take a 2-0 match lead.

Host Georgetown opened the third with a 8-1 run and led through the end of the match.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. non-conference match at NCAA Division III Calvin.
