Men's Volleyball Edged By Cornerstone in Five-Set Thriller on Senior Night

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team played a five-set thriller, coming up just short in a loss to WHAC opponent Cornerstone on Tuesday at the SHU Fieldhouse. Set scores in favor of the Golden Eagles were 19-25, 25-14, 25-19, 21-25, 15-13.

Marc Arsenault led the Saints with 15 kills while Rasi Bailey contributed nine. Jakob Pickett added seven kills, 12 digs and four blocks. Francesc Baza also had seven kills.

Jacob Kisner led the defense with 23 digs, Zak Tucker made 34 assists and Bernard Bell, the man of honor on Senior Night, totaled seven blocks.

In the fifth and deciding set, the Saints jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Cornerstone clawed its way back. The set featured five ties, including at 11, 12 and 13, before the Eagles broke the 13-all knot with the match's final two points.

The Saints (5-14, 3-13) will wrap up their season with a pair of road contests at Goshen and Bethel on Friday and Saturday.
