Men's Volleyball Falls Again at Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team suffered its second 3-1 loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) in as many days on Saturday.

SHU lost by set scores of 18-25, 28-26, 25-13, 25-17.

Marc Arsenault led the Saints with 16 kills while Jakob Pickett and Rasi Bailey smacked 11 kills apiece. Zak Tucker had 40 assists and 14 digs. Bailey also had six blocks.

The Saints were solid on the attack in set 1, killing 15 balls while only making one error. SHU held a .467 hit percentage in the set and snagged a 1-0 lead.

SHU nearly went up 2-0 in the second, holding set point on three different occasions before MVNU rolled off three straight points to escape with the set win.

Mount Vernon built off its momentum with a strong third set and never trailed in the fourth.

The Saints will return to action on Friday with a 7 p.m. visit from WHAC opponent Indiana Tech.
