Men's Volleyball Goes The Distance in Loss at Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team lost a tough five-set match at WHAC opponent Indiana Tech on Friday night.

The Saints lost by set scores of 25-17, 18-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Marc Arsenault had 16 kills to lead the SHU attack. Jakob Pickett added 10. Zak Tucker made 37 assists.

On the defensive side, Joudiel Poveymirow had 10 digs. Bernard Bell had five block assists.

The Saints won the second and third sets after falling behind 1-0. They jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the fourth before the Warriors rallied back. Indiana Tech closed the set on a 4-1 run.

Siena Heights led twice in the fifth, 1-0 and 2-1, before the hosts took the lead for good.

Trailing 10-6, the Saints closed to 12-10 before Indiana Tech (2-2, 1-0) finished the final three points.

SHU (2-2, 1-2) will return to action on Monday with a 7 p.m. match at crosstown rival Adrian.
