HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints used a 5-0 run to gain a 7-3 advantage in the first set. That run proved to be the difference as Siena kept the momentum to a 25-18 win and a 1-0 lead.

The Cougars dictated the second set, building a 12-6 lead on the way to a 25-17 decision to tie the score at one game each.

The third set was competitive throughout as the margin never moved far in either team's favor. The score was tied at 24 and again at 25 before two attack errors by SXU gave SHU the set and the 2-1 lead.

The fourth set resembled the third with a tightly contested game up to a tie at 23 points. This time though, the Saints earned the deciding points with a kill by Bryce Johnson and a block by Garavalia, Shevin Blades, and Keegan Crawford to seal the victory.
