CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team completed a perfect sweep of the Thomas More Invitational with 3-0 wins over the host Saints and Reinhardt on the final day of the tournament. Keegan Crawford (Columbus, Ohio) paced the Saints attack with 46 assists between the two matches to help complete the 4-0 weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED

SHU def. Thomas More, 3-0

Siena used two 5-0 runs and one 4-0 run to build a commanding 20-5 lead in the first on the way to a 1-0 lead. The host Saints used a 4-0 run to capture an 11-9 lead in the second, but SHU battled back to tie things at 12, 13, and again at 14. A 5-0 run by Siena put the score at 19-14 before the visiting Saints took the set 25-16 for the 2-0 lead. Much like the first set, big runs of six and five gave Siena Heights the 14-2 advantage. They closed the match out with a final kill to win.

The Saints jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the match and would trail for the remainder of the first set on the way to a 25-19 decision and a 1-0 lead. With the second set tied at five points, Siena Heights rattled off six-straight points to pull ahead before holding control through the 25-14 win to take the 2-0 lead. The Saints rolled through the third set to end the match. They started by building a 6-1 lead off a 4-0 run. Another 4-0 run increased the lead to 16-8 and the Eagles couldn't catch them before the end of the match.
