Four Saint Men's Volleyball Players Receive WHAC Honors

Four members of the Siena Heights men's volleyball team were selected for Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) honors as announced by the league office. Emilier De Jesus was tabbed the Libero of the Year as well as a spot on the second team All-WHAC. He was joined on the second team by Keegan Crawford and Alex Garavalia. Garavalia was also placed on the Champions of Character team. Evan Cashen finished off the SHU honors with an all-freshman team selection.

De Jesus (Chesterton, Ind.) led the team this season in digs (302) and service aces (37). The junior libero's digs per set (3.36) leads the WHAC conference and he is third in service aces.

Keegan Crawford (Columbus, Ohio) finished the regular season atop the assists category for the team with 859 and 9.34 per set. The junior ranks third in assists per set for the conference with 9.43.

Garavalia (sophomore, Kouts, Ind.) leads the Saints with 246 kills on the year. He averages 2.70 kills per set and falls eighth in kills for the conference.

Cashen (St. Joseph, Mich.) tallied the third-most kills on the team with 194 (2.18 k/s). He is also third in digs on the team with 173 this season. 

Siena will look to keep the season alive tonight when the team faces Aquinas in the WHAC Tournament Semifinals hosted by Lourdes in Sylvania, Ohio. The match is set for a 5:00 p.m., start.
