SYLVANIA, OHIO -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team fell to #2 Lourdes in straight sets in the team's final Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) match on Wednesday night. Emilier De Jesus led the Saints with 11 digs in the losing effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Gray Wolves jumped out to a 1-0 lead after a 25-17 decision in the first set. The Saints tallied nine kills in the opening game for a team hitting percentage of .121.

Lourdes continued to play tough defense as the team held Siena to only eight kills in set two on the way to a 2-0 lead with a 25-17 win in the second set. 

The Saints registered 11 kills in the third set but they couldn't catch the Gray Wolves.

TOP SAINTS

• Evan Cashen led the Siena offense with seven kills. He also contributed on the defensive end with nine digs.

• Keegan Crawford finished with 20 assists to pace the SHU offense.

• De Jesus added two assists to his stat line. 

THE OPPOSITION

• Ricardo Gehrke had 17 kills and Evan Gebert finished with 12 kills to lead Lourdes.

• Henrique Gehrke registered 35 assists.

• Matheus Andrade had a match-high 20 digs.
