Three Saints Named To MEC First Team

Siena Heights had three Saints make First Team All-Conference, one make Second Team All-Conference and Kim Berrington was named Co-Coach of the Year as announced by the league on Friday.

Matthew Dugan, Tyler Hubbard-Neil and John Kalugar were named First Team All-Conference. Jeff Hardman was named to Second Team All-Conference.

In 2015-16, Dugan has played in 26 matches and 85 sets. He is leading the team in kills with 243 (2.86 per set), a hitting percentage of .221, 214 digs, 21 aces and 53 total blocks.

Hubbard-Neil has played in 26 matches and 79 sets. He has 232 kills (2.94 per set), a hitting percentage of .192, 133 digs, 31 aces and 46 blocks.

Kalugar has played in 26 matches and played in the most sets with 87. He leads the Saints in digs with 254 (2.92 per set) and in aces with 35 (.40 per set).

Hardman has been in 26 matches and 80 sets. He leads SHU in assists with 630 (7.88 per set), 130 digs, 21 aces and 47 blocks.

A total of four Saints were recognized on the Academic All-MEC Team. That group included Brody Davidson, Arthur Gwoszdz, Edward Harness and Parker Saenz.

Gwoszdz and Harness are computer and information system majors while Davidson is a marketing major. Saenz is a digital media major.
