Saints Volleyball Outhit Crimson Wave Enroute to 3-0 Victory

Adrian, Mich.- The Siena Heights Men's Volleyball team outhit the Calumet College of St. Joseph en route to a 3-0 victory.  The Saints won the game 25-20, 25-19 and 28-26.

Siena Heights tallied more kills and serve aces to drown the Crimson Wave's hopes.  The Saints led the attacking edge with 40 kills to thier 28, and the serve aces 13 to zero.  

Arthur Mattje Gwoszdz orchestrated a balanced attack as no Saint recorded double digit kills, but Gwoszdz amassed 40 assists and six aces.  Max Field led the Saints with eight kills, while Lance Blough and Edward Harness both recorded seven.  Zak Krug led the defense with 13 digs, and unofficially set the school career record for digs.  

The Saints move into the playoffs of the NAIA Great Lakes Division Tournament. If the Saints can manage to stay at or above the .500 mark for the season they will have recorded the best season in school history.  The tournament is going to be held at Cincinnati Christian on Friday March 27th and Saturday March 28th.  Actual opponents and matchups have not been released at the time of this article.
