GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Matthew Gipple was named Most Valuable Performer of the meet, totaling 24 1/2 points, as the Siena Heights men's track and field team placed fifth at the WHAC Indoor Championships at Aquinas on Saturday.
Gipple won the long jump and 200-meter dash. He also placed eighth in the 60-meter dash.
Gipple's mark in the long jump with an NAIA automatic-qualifying distance of 7.35 meters (24 feet, 1 1/2 inches). He won the 200 in 22.06 seconds. His time in the 60 was 6.97 seconds.
